Keyhole TV for iPhone

* UPDATE #6 April 2015 : i-Keyhole TV works on jailbroken iOS devices up to iOS 8.1.2. However, that being said, to successfully stream live videos on your iDevices, you are now required to have a premium subscription that costs USD 5 per 30 days if I remembered correctly. The easiest way to add the latest version of i-Keyhole TV is to add the repository "http://www.oiseyer.com/ios5/"  in the Cydia sources.

*UPDATE #5 December 2011 : This works with iDevices with 5.0.1 untethered jailbreaks on them. I have tested it on an iPad1 and iPhone 4. Maybe when the A5 jailbreak comes out, you guys can update me that it works on iPhone 4S and iPad2 :-)

*UPDATE #4 July 2011 : This also works on jailbroken 4.3.3 with either jailbreakme.com, redsn0w or pwnageTool (thanks to the feedback of Mongrul who tested it on ipod4thg). Maybe I should start testing it on iOS 5.0 beta 2 since I have a developer's account ^^'

* UPDATE #3 April 2011 : This works on jailbroken 4.3.1 with either redsn0w or pwnageTool. I have also included the new KeyholeTV site where you can get all the latest releases of KeyholeTV for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, Windows Mobile and finally the iPhone. Bear in mind that the iPhone version still requires you to SSH into your phone and manually install it. There is no DEB nor Cydia repository for this yet. Here is the LINK.

* UPDATE #2 March 2011 : Myrepospace.com is being bitchy again as people are seeing connections errors when using the Cydia repository method to get i-Keyhole on their iDevices. I have included a link to a DEB file. Basic instructions are down below.

* UPDATE #1 February 2011 : I have added a Cydia repository for this to work so you don't need to have AppSync to install it ^_^

This is for everyone who wanted to know where to get i-Keyhole TV for the iPhone. Click on the image to go to the page to download the IPA file (it's in Japanese but it's pretty easy to know what to do ;-))

Another way which is so much easier is to add a Cydia repository link. Here's the link : http://cydia.myrepospace.com/bagsac/

Yet another way is to install via apt-get. Fire up MobileTerminal or SSH into your iPhone whichever is convenient for you. Ensure you are root and issue the following command at the command prompt "dpkg -i filename.deb" . The KeyholeTV DEB file can be found here

Hey thanks for going to the trouble of doing all of that. I just installed it and it appears to be working fine, I'm off to listen to Japan radio in bed :)

Just a note for anyone else, after adding the above repository, you need to search for "ikeyhole" in Cydia.

You're welcome Edwin ^_^

Glad you enjoyed it!

hey there, does this work on iphone 3gs 4.3? i added the cydia link but when i tried to download it it always gives me a timed out error.

I have not tried it on a IOS 4.3 device. I am still on 4.2.1 :-) (since a lot of my Cydia apps still does not fully support 4.3 yet). That being said, it should run without issues on 4.3.

It seems that myrepospace.com is acting all bitchy again. Will try to have my own Cydia repository in the future for this.

My wife owes me BIG time for setting this up on her iPod Touch! (Which I just gave her cause I got an iPad 2..hehe)
Now she knows why I spend the money on these gadgets. By the way, it runs fine on 4.3.3 JB 4g Touch and iPad.

Thanks dude!! Excellent work!!

I made the mistake of setting up FaceTime cause I thought it was cool...this will save me from getting called every 5 minutes! Thanks again! ;-)

You are most welcome :-). Yeah it works on 4.3.3 just did not update the post. Thanks for the reminder :-)

so, what is different from your way of getting Keyhole TV then this way?

The link is here: http://sonep.jp/ipit/index.php?i-keyholeTV

That's simple. ip4shack was a repo that I have added some time ago. However, if you are not careful and simply upgrade your Cydia base files, you will 'Japan-ized' your Cydia. Other than that, myrepospace.com is bitchy at times hence you may not be able to actually even add it to the sources list in Cydia. Other than that, its just another way of installing i-Keyhole TV.

HTH.

ok, so, do you suggest me to use the way you suggested, which has been tested to work okay with OS 4?

Nickelby said...

It's entirely up to you to be honest. If you see from my post, there's a few options available. At the end of the day, the results are the same. You'll have i-Keyhole TV installed on your iPhone :-)

just found this working link for the ipa file. http://www.mediafire.com/?nmzdmymmjty

it may need a jailbroken iphone for it to work.

link was found at http://apple.shawnliv.com/index.php/watch-japan-tv-programs-online-on-iphone-download

please try it.

I don't think I will try it though since the results will be the same :-) but thanks for the links though.

And for ANY IPA files or DEB files to be installed on your iPhone, you will definitely need a jailbroken iPhone.

its, me again,,,doki,..
the aplication close everytime, this is becasuse the A4 chip, maybe have some problem with memory, I don[t know how to say but with iphone 4S A5 doble nucleo, the aplication run as the same in the computer no crash, and you can use this perfect...BUT when I try in my A4 chip, ipod touch or iphone with A4 the aplication crash everytime, if you lock the iOS can take one long time for crash, but the problem is with A4.... well if someone want to use this aplication with no problem you need to use one iphone 4S I don[t have now the ipad 1 or ipad 2 for make some tests, but for iphone or ipod touch have this in mind...

It's not the A4 chip. I have run it successfully on my iPhone4 and my iPad (1st generation) whereby both devices are using the A4 chip. I have run the program for 5 hours+ straight without hiccups. Perhaps you have some other jailbroken applications that conflicts with this. Just a hunch ...
